NOTICE OF ELECTION FOR

SWEET GRASS COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT #49 AND

BIG TIMBER GRADE SCHOOL DISTRICT #1

Notice is hereby given by the undersigned Election Administrator that the Annual School Election will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

This will be a mail ballot election and ballots will be mailed only to the eligible voters in those districts on April 17, 2025.   Ballots may be returned to the following location:

Sweet Grass County Clerk and Recorder/Election Administrator

115 W 5^th Ave., Big Timber, MT  59011

8:00 AM to 5:00 PM prior to election day

8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on election day

Sweet Grass County High School District #49 electors will consider the following issues at the election:

• Mill levy to support the Technology Fund

Big Timber Grade School District #1 electors will consider the following issue at the election:

• Mill levy to support the General Fund
• School Board Trustee – 2 positions for a 3 year term

A qualified registered elector who will be absent from the district during the time the election is being conducted may: a) vote in person in the election administrator’s office as soon as the ballots are available and until noon the day before the ballots are scheduled to be mailed; b) make a written request, signed by the applicant and addressed to the election administrator, that the ballot be mailed to an address other than the address that appears on the registration card.

**If you miss the regular registration deadline (30 days prior to the election), you may still register and vote at the county election office until 8 p.m. on election day.
