Currently, you must either appear in person and pay the clerk or mail your payment to Justice/City Court P.O. Box 1432, Big Timber, MT 59011. Or pay online at Citepay https://mobile.citepayusa.com/
If you have received a citation or criminal complaint, you will have an initial appearance that includes hearing your rights, reading of the law you allegedly violated and the possible penalty if you are convicted. If you are ready, you may also have an arraignment which the entry of either a guilty or not guilty plea. A no contest plea can only be entered with the approval of the prosecutor.
It is not a trial. This is a pretrial hearing that is set after you enter a plea of not guilty. It is a scheduling conference attended by you and/or your attorney and the prosecutor. Trial dates, motion deadlines, discovery deadlines and other deadlines can be set during this hearing You will not testify or present evidence.
ACT stands for Assessment, Course & Treatment. It is a program required by Montana law for those convicted of Driving Under the Influence or Driving With a BAC of .08 or more. It can be ordered in other cases as well.

Be prepared to pay a reinstatement fee as well as be compliant with any courts where you may have an action pending.
