Marriage License Requirements
INFORMATION NEEDED:
Please find the marriage application fillable form below to complete your information prior to visiting our office for your marriage license. Please print & bring with you. If you do not have printing capabilities we have the form available. Also below the Declaration of Marriage form for more information on Declaration of Marriage please call our office 406-932-5154.
Marriage License Application Form
Picture ID and Proof of age – Valid Driver’s License, State issued ID, Military ID, Passport or birth certificate. If previously married, you will be asked to provide your most recent marriage by dissolution/death date, county & state the dissolution or death occurred. If you do not know your dissolution information please order a copy from the Court in the state & county your dissolution was finalized & signed by the Court & bring with you to apply for your marriage license.
If birth certificate not provided, we will need Parties’ birthplace (City, County, State); Parents’ full names, including mother’s maiden name; & Parents’ birth state..
WAITING PERIOD:
The license is effective immediately upon issuance and expires after 180 days.
COST:
$53.00/cash or money order please. Once the marriage application process is started we do not refund the license fee of $53.00.
CERTIFIED COPY OF MARRIAGE LICENSE:
$7.00 each – Available upon request of the bride or groom.
